Day 59 [Fancy A Flower]

Photographed some flowers I got yesterday from some lovely friends.

I took this in macro mode and I played around with the exposure, boosted the color and dabbled in cross processing.  I am very happy with how it turned out. 

Day 58 [Scrapaganza]

Our annual Spring Scrapaganza in lieu of a scrap weekend away.

We have lots of fun, lots of laughs, lots of food and lots of drinks!

Day 57 [Zeeks]

We have become Zeek Geeks!

There is a local pizza chain in the Seattle area that my husband and I discovered last July.  Since then we have visited a few of their other area locations and now it's become a 'goal' to visit all 8 locations.  Tonight we checked off number 7 on the list, only one more to go!  We met some friends for dinner and had a great time.  The pizza is SO good.  We are not fancy pizza eaters...we are not fancy eaters period.  But the crust, OMGosh...SO good!  If you are ever in town you must find a Zeeks to eat at!

Day 56 [Sorry?]

I pulled out the Sorry! game to teach the almost 6 year old how to play.

He's at a good age where he's starting to understand how to play the more 'mature' games and we had a lot of fun!  3 games of fun!  I'm sure we'll be pulling out Sorry! again tomorrow.

Day 55 [He Returns]

He's home.

My husband.

He headed to L.A. on Monday for work.  He doesn't travel a lot for his job, but when he does I miss him terribly.  Happy to have him home!

Day 53 [Sweet Dreams]

Our new headboard we order from Pottery Barn last month arrived today. I'm so pleased with how fantastically nice this piece is.  Sleek, simple and clean lines. 

Day 52 [Trolling]

Today the husband and I played tourist in Seattle.  It's always fun to play tourist where you live...in all the years I have lived here I had never been to Queen Anne Hill before.  Fun!

We started our morning by walking around Queen Anne Hill, lunch at Zeek's Pizza near Fremont (we only have 2 more locations to visit!) and then we headed across the Fremont Bridge to take in the Fremont Troll.

Day 50 [Tuckered Out]

The little guy and I did some serious shopping today after preschool.  He literally shopped til he dropped!  = )  I think it was worth the two Hotwheels that made their way home with us.

Day 49 [SOOC]

Went to the park today.  It was a blue sky, sunshine, 50 plus degree day today.  Perfect for a walk and play at the park!  I took lots and lots of pictures I chose this one Straight Out Of the Camera to use to today's photo.  I was under the playset that he was standing on.  Thought it would make for a good photo, I think it's pretty cool.

Day 48 [Squeaky Clean]

I took advantage of the nice day to clean my horrifically dirty car.

She's so squeaky clean she looks like she got a new coat of paint! =)

Day 47 [Signs of Life]

This morning there were signs of Spring life all around me.

Birds feasting on what they can peck out of the ground and my long forgotten flower pots.  The tulips are starting to sprout and the Crocuses are blooming there ever short live blooms.  While I know that most of the US in covered in snow these days, we in the PNW are enjoying a lovely El Nino winter.  Early spring for us this year, facts of that are springing up all around us!

Day 46 [Just Call Me Flo]

Florence Nightingale that is.

I have been nursing my hubby back to health after he was attacked by a nasty head cold.  It's been a slow recovery, but I think he's making headway, or should I say breatheway.  LOL! 

I'm pretty sure the nasty bug he is fighting he caught from me as I was feeling a bit down and out late last week.  It seems to have jumped from me (lucky me!) to him (not so lucky him), as I rebounded rather quickly.

Day 44 [Happy Mail]

Love me some good happy mail!

Once a month I have made certain that I get some happy mail in the mail box.  My Cocoa Daisy monthly scrapbook kit arrives full of scrap goodness.  I love to sift through, touch, and feel all the delightful items that arrived while my mind starts churning out ideas for how to use these goodies.

Day 42 [How High? Knee High!]

I know, I know.

It's a poor quality photo, but I love it!

While the little guy and I were sitting in the car waiting for the preschool doors to open, Mama 'Sporty Spice' hopped up on the scene sportin some 'way back' knee highs.  At first I was cracking up, rolling my eyes, thinking really?  Then I got all warm and fuzzy thinking back to when I was a kid, donning those same style socks for my softball games of way, way yesteryear.  Unfortunately I did not have my zoom lens with me so I couldn't get a close shot of just her socks.  Since the lady is FIT and could knock me out....the fact that I don't know her except for the fact that her kid's class is across the hall from the little guy's class, I am not sure how well it would have gone over if I'd jumped out of my car, gotten down for a good angle close to her for a picture of her socks!  So, this is a seriously cropped photo.  I actually kinda like the fuzzy-ness of the poor quality of it anyhow.

Blue skies in February in the PNW...not the usual.

This is the time of year that I'm usually down in the dumps due to the endless grey skies and drizzle falling from said grey skies.  So happy to have unseasonably warm and sunny February days this year.

Day 38 [Hearts Aflutter]

I *heart* the Starbucks holiday cup, you know, the one they 'unveil' in November to kick off the holiday season.  Imagine my delight when I walked into *my* Starbucks this morning to be greeted by this Valentine cup!  Made me giddy, yes it did!  So now I'm wondering if this will be a new trend for each of the holidays.  Do yourself a favor, go get a warm, fuzzy drink served in a heart cup.

Day 37 [Climbing the Walls]

A beautiful Northwest day today!

Left the house this morning at 10 am with my husband to go on a photo hunt, have lunch and enjoy this glorious day.  I have always wanted to photograph this sculpture at Bellevue Place.

It is one of my favorite local pieces of art.

Day 36 [Ripping]

Today I set out to rip all our old CDs to the computer for our Zunes and ipods.

I forgot just how many CDs we had and some of the gems I have missed so much.

After going through all the CDs I was left with a small stack of discs with no cases and a larger stack of cases with no discs.  I can honestly say I prefer the pile of discs with no cases as it's really hard to see a case of something you long to hear with the disc missing.  Where on earth did those discs go?

Day 35 [The Laughing Cow]

In my quest to cut calories I have discovered The Laughing Cow.  This cheese is fabulous!  Low, low calories, can be used in many, many ways and they sell it at Costco for way cheaper then I can get it at the grocery store...makes me happy. =)

Day 34 [Time Out!]

I'm a nanny to this little guy who had to serve a time out today.  My son served one too, but being almost 15 I just sent him to his room until his Dad got home, I have on occasion made him stand in the corner for time out...goes over real well with the teen crowd! ;)

Day 33 [Hearts Desire]

Love the love this lawn expresses!

I pass by this heart every preschool morning as this is the yard next door to the preschool.  Brings a smile to my face everytime.  I would love to know the back story on this yard.

In any event I find it very endearing.

Day 32 [Fluff & Fold]

It's almost 9 pm and I realized I hadn't taken a photo today!

It's been a trying day to say the least, so the photo taking never entered the picture.

Mondays are laundry day around my house, so that's what you get...a snap of my laundry.

Hey, at least it isn't our undies! =)
